I made soup from scratch today, with the exception of the organic vegetable broth. Carrots, onion, garlic, a little olive oil, lots of spices, vegetable broth, water, and dried beans and lentils that had been soaked overnight.
Cooking is just bringing it up to a boil, reducing heat, and simmering for an hour while occasionally making sure there is enough liquid in the pan.
Such a yummy, cheap, one batch lasts a week, meal.
